Returns and Refunds

Second hand jewellery is unique, flaws and all

Our pieces are all pre-loved and that is part of their charm. We go to great lengths to seek out the most gorgeous, unique pieces we can find and part of that is that they have a history. We don’t sell new pieces, our jewellery is lived-in and that’s what makes it special.

Our photos form part of the item description

If you’re seriously considering purchasing one of our pieces, it is up to you to inspect the photos carefully and to request more information if you need it. We know it can be daunting choosing a piece of jewellery online, so we put great effort into creating detailed descriptions. We will point out any flaws that are visible with the naked eye and strongly urge you to inspect the photos carefully. Scratches, cracks and other flaws visible on a microscopic level are inevitable when you’re looking at a piece of jewellery that is decades old. If you want an item that is in pristine condition, our pieces are not for you and we don’t purport to provide those. By purchasing our jewellery, you agree to these terms.

We do offer refunds under the following circumstances

We can’t offer a refund if you simply change your mind. If the piece you have bought is not as described, we will refund you:
- provided you can clearly show where/how it was grossly misdescribed

- it is returned via insured express post within 4 days of delivery, in original condition and with all original packaging in tact. Including in a box, not a satchel.

-minus costs incurred by us (postage, customs, taxes)

-you contact us prior to return to arrange the necessary insurance and proof of return

Postage/delivery is at your risk

Once the item leaves us and we provide documented tracking, we are no longer responsible for the item. We are not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit.

If you would like insurance, please discuss with us.

We can’t take responsibility for items that have been repaired or altered by your jeweller

We can’t accept any item for return that has been resized or altered by your jeweller.

Please note that vintage and antique pieces require extra care when making alterations and it is best to consult an expert. Ring re-sizing is a relatively simple process but if you need advice on this, please discuss with us. It is not recommended to interfere with hallmarks, as these are part of a piece’s charm.

If you need to resize a ring, it is your responsibility to consult a jeweller. Some pieces can not be resized and we can’t be held accountable for that. If you have concerns about the size of a piece, please discuss with us prior to purchase.

A note about official valuations and gemological assessments

Unless otherwise stated, we do not provide official valuations. These can be arranged at an additional charge if you are prepared to cover the cost. Discuss this with us.
Where possible, we provide information about the origin and the date of manufacturer. Sometimes, we need to make assumptions about this or can not give an exact year.
We identify our gems to the best of our ability and consult a jeweller or a gemologist when required but this is not part of our service, unless specifically requested.

IF YOU HAVE ANY CONCERNS ABOUT THE ABOVE CONDITIONS PLEASE CONTACT US BEFORE MAKING A PURCHASE

We want to work with you to make this process as enjoyable as possible.
